Both of my first and second competitions of the season are now over... within two weeks of each other. My team, (lovingly referred to as "Team Street Meat" due to the number of seven man hot dog patterns we have), came first at West Regionals two weeks ago and most recently came third at the 2010 Masters Open Provincial Championship on Sunday.
The win at Regionals was extra specials because it was the one year anniversary of losing my Dad and the competition was at Laurier where he had taken me to my very first competition many moons ago.
One of my teammates and I were the meet managers for the provincial championship on Sunday and although I've hosted the event before, it seemed like so much more effort this time around haha. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret it, but I didn't realize how much of my time it took up until now.. hence having time to write this.
At the meet I was also the photographer. Here's a few of my favourite shots:

I love love love having meets at home because I love hearing the audience cheering us on. At this meet I had my own little personal cheering section in my mom, sister, grandma and my boyfriend and his family which included his 4 month old neice! I definitely had the cutest fan haha.
Next up: Montreal. We're heading to the Master's Cup in Montreal on May 8. It's an invitational meet hosted by CAEM and since my team has decided not to go to nationals in B.C. we're super excited that we get another chance to compete together before the end of the season.
